Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine have jointly established the Experimental and Clinical Research Center (ECRC) at the Charité Campus-Buch. The goal is to sustainably improvement in clinical research, and to rapidly translate new findings into patient care. The ECRC includes an outpatient cardiology clinic, which serves as an associated facility of the German Heart Center
at Charité (DHZC). Here we provide specialized expertise to patients and referring physicians with a particular focus on conducting innovative
investigations into rare diseases. Our research focus- medical imaging- plays a key role, enabling us to detect damage to heart muscle
non-invasively and in some cases, at a very early stage. As an outpatient clinic, we are also involved in numerous reserach projects.
